Fabulous Find {Cooper Moon Apothecary}

Hi Everyone it’s Ivett here again and snaps-a-doodles am I excited to share this awesome find! I made my way to the Campbell Farmers Market and was impressed by all of the vendor’s, colors, smells, and amazing finds!
If I didn’t care so much about all of you I could have easily kept this one to myself lol!
Handmade soap! Yep soap!!! I’m letting you into one of my secret pleasures… I just adore a good bar of handcrafted soap. You know that one soap you can immediately tell just by the feel and smell of it that it will nourish your skin and delight your senses!

I found just that last weekend! I know I’m teasing you by not revealing that name yet but, I think that it’s important for you to know that these absolutely spectacular creations are being made right in my own backyard sort-to-speak!
I met the Katy the owner of Cooper Moon Apothecary and she explained her process to me-aren’t I lucky? I was able to sample one of her fabulous scrubs.

OMG was that delightful!!!

The smell and the luxurious feeling during and after were amazing. I just love the idea that all of the ingredients are natural and soothing to the skin.

I am definitely going back for more this Sunday!

Kelly shared with me that all of her herbs are grown on her farm and her handcrafted bar soaps are made using nourishing butters and oils, and pure organic botanicals.
Seriously what a delightful treat! If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area you must come by and check her out and if not you are not at a loss you can order these fabulous soaps, creams, salves & balms online here
Disclosure! Oh my I sound so serious lol!!!
I in no way am getting any product or paid for this small review. I just like to share really GOOD natural products when I find them especially when it’s handcrafted and a local artist-vendor! =)

Btw before I forget go and give Katy some love on her Facebook page

House Warming Moments

Hi there Blogosphere friends, It’s Ivett here again with some Lindy’s inspiration!

I recently got an invitation from a good friend of mine to visit her at her new home and of course I to make her a card to go with her housewarming gift.
I created this card using a few Mixed Media techniques and my new summer favorite Lindy’s set Under the Boardwalk. I used some 7 Dot Studios paper with some We R Memory Keepers “Dreamy” Double-sided Journaling cards. I also incorporated some beautiful Prima flowers, Prima Junkyard Findings, a Prima Bust and some cute gears and chipboard gears.
My friend a big girly girl as am I so this card was a treat to make and I can’t wait to see the expression on her face when she gets her present!
I used Lindy's Stamp Gang Under the Boardwalk Flat spray set
and coordination Embossing Powders.
Bellow I have a video with a small tutorial for you.
As always I hope to inspire you!

My Mini Watercolor/Art Journal Travel Kit

Hi Everyone Ivett here again! I love to watercolor, sketch, or illustrate in my art journals while I’m on the go! So I always have a bag handy with a few favorite things at hand.
I periodically post little bits of my work on Facebook or Instagram and you all have asked lots of questions! So between a bunch of some personal messages, emails, etc. asking what my travel art kit/bag looks like.
So I decided to a video together for you all in response to that!
I also made a small project for those of you who asked on how you can start Art Journaling and watercoloring inexpensively!
In my opinion recycling and upcycling in the craft-room is key! So make sure to watch the tutorial and see how you can probably make your own adorable watercolor palette for next to nothing, nada, free!

As always I hope that this inspires you!

Laying the ground work!

What a beautiful morning! School's been out for a few weeks now and nothing is stirring through the house its total silence as all the “babies’ are sleeping woohoo! So I decided to throw some color around and see what happens next. So far I just have a few backgrounds - I figured that I would start laying the roots/backgrounds to a bunch of watercolor card stock and have them on hand for when the "mojo" kicks in.
I will be back soon to share what I have added to these a little later. Now I’m off to get some housework done and then to drop the boys off at their soccer camp!
Have a wonderful week!

Altered Jewelry Box

Hi Everyone can you believe it’s July already? It’s crazy how time has just flown by this year!
Well it’s that time again and I want to share my challenge project for
I Am Roses this month. The theme this month vintage and reuse or recycle.
I decided to use a cute unfinished jewelry box that use to house some little trinkets and things.
I have taken some of my beautiful green and white cherry blossoms and created a stunning cluster on the top of my jewelry box. On this project I used the Printery Paper line by Prima, distressed the edges with Pumice Stone Distress Ink and added lace, pearl strand, and pearls on the top to give it an added touch. The small key on top of the box is from Micheal's.
